The Van Deusen children (Virtue, Jasper, Jubilee, and Cyrus) have been serving together with their parents almost since they were born. Each has been on short trips to Mexico at least 2-3 times each year helping and mostly participating children’s outreaches.

Esther grew up in California and after high school attended Cal State Fullerton where she majored in International Business with an Emphasis in Spanish. As her mother passed into heaven when Esther was only 10 years old she says, “My heart was knit to heaven,” and her personal relationship with Christ blossomed as well as her desire to see the lost saved. In her single years, her interest in missions was obvious as she was heavily involved in spreading gospel through local evangelism and spending a short time in Uganda. After she met Ryan her involvement in missions only increased and they have enjoyed serving many different cultures over the years.

Most importantly Ryan is committed to the person of Christ, and is a dedicated husband and father. He was raised in Charleston, South Carolina at Northwood Church where he received his call to ministry at the age of 12, and preached his first sermon at the age of 16. Ryan moved to California after high school and graduated from the Calvary Chapel Bible College; spending two semesters in Costa Mesa under Chuck Smith, and two semesters at the campus in Jerusalem, Israel. This was followed by completing the two-year School of Ministry out of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. Immediately, upon completion he began teaching at the Calvary Chapel Bible College, and did so for 7 semesters. Ryan was responsible for developing and teaching Theology 101, Isaiah In-Depth, Inductive Bible Study, Church History: The Remnant, The History of Redemption, Daniel In-Depth, and Evangelism 101. He has held various positions as youth pastor and associate Pastor in various ministries since that time. Now the Van Deusens have answered the call to serve the Lord in Boca Del Rio, Sinaloa, Mexico. Please pray for the family to adapt well to the new living conditions, and to be effective as the build Kingdom centered relationships there in Boca.
