Putting Dependence into Practice

The Bible never offers doctrine without giving you a way to work it out in your life. Therefore, neither will I.
1 Corinthians 4:20 says, “the kingdom of God does not consist of talk, but of power.” So, It’s time to stop talking, and do something about this.
As you have been reading, I believe that God has been working on your heart. God has been illuminating your mind concerning yourself or someone you know. There may be conversations, or names of people, or decisions, or things like this that he is bringing to your mind. Things that were done in the strength of the flesh, rather than in trusting the faithfulness of God.
If these have come to mind while reading this book, I believe God by His Spirit is identifying the thing that he is waiting on. He is saying, “This is the thing that is keeping me from being gracious to you.” If this
has happened to you, then do not put this book down until you have dealt with the issue. Read over the rest of this section, and after you have read it go back and do it; knowing and believing in what you are doing.
Take your stance as an ambassador of the kingdom of Heaven, and say
“In the name of Jesus I give up all rights to self-sufficiency and independence. I choose to completely depend on God to provide all that I need physically and spiritually.”
Then confess the ways that you have depended on the strength of flesh, and acknowledge that this is dishonoring to God. Repent, and commit yourself to lean on God for your understanding of any task, or emotion, or difficulty, or success, or anything in your life. Turn to God by doing this. Name the situations, and people involved. Forgive anyone who misled you. Then renounce the lie that you believed.
There was some kind of lie whispered in your ear that convinced you to trust in the ‘normal way of doing things’, or ‘the safe way’, or that everything needs to be perfect—anything that depends on the strength of flesh.
Once you have renounced any lie that Satan used to deceive you, it’s time to declare the truth, and your victory. Say,
“I declare that I am not perfect. I declare that all the good that is in me comes from God. I choose to no longer trust in myself, and my ways of doing things. I choose to look to God, and His Word for all my decisions and tasks. I declare, by the mercies of God, because of his faithfulness, that I am free from the curse that comes from trusting in flesh. I declare that I trust in the LORD. Thank you God for delivering me.”
Now continue to walk in the grace, the freedom, and the power God has given you at this moment. Satan will attempt to lie to you again, and tell you, “it didn’t work,” but it did. God is faithful.
Do not trust in yourself.
Trust in God.
He will make you sufficient for all things.
May you be totally dependent on the power of God.
May you be blessed as you walk in the strength of the LORD.
